Alan Gamblin started working for his father's dealership when he was 13 years old in 1969. He worked washing cars and sweeping floors. Since then, he has worked in every aspect of the dealership. Alan became a partner in 1985 and then purchased the dealership in 1992. Retaining the original name, he continued to build upon a legacy of customer service and treating people fairly.
Alan Gamblin is involved as a board member of the Enumclaw Regional Healthcare Foundation and is a past president of that charitable organization. He is active in his church and was named the Rotarian of the year by the Enumclaw Rotary club. Gamblin was honored in 2006 as one of Enumclaw’s “Home Town Hero’s” for his leadership in defeating an out of area taxing district’s bid to increase local taxes. Through his efforts local tax payers saved an estimated 100 million dollars over 20 years and set a Washington State election record defeating the measure by 94%.
Alan also donates his time for the automobile industry. He is twice past President of the Northwest Chevrolet Dealers advertising association and is currently treasurer. He sits on a national Chevrolet advertising committee. In addition, Gamblin is a board of director for the Washington State Auto Dealers Association representing the new car dealers in South King County.
